Monday 2nd April is challenge time with racing vying for the Leda Bowl.
This trophy was donated by Maurice Matisson and named after his building trade recruitment company. Maurice was a long standing club member until about 5 or 6 years ago.
The day originally was three pursuit races ( Maurice liked pursuit races ) being fixed length races effectively with the handicap worked out in advance. The starting procedure ran at one minute intervals and each class started at its allotted time. The race finished when the time was up and the positions on the water were the result. Some exciting finishes were seen.
