The boat shed on the small lake will be out of bounds to all members during the month of December.
This will be used for storage of those items to be delivered by special transport on 24th December. Some members may have already seen a mysterious old man with a beard wandering around that shed recently purportedly repairing jetties.
The photo with this article was taken only a few days ago and shows how stocks are arriving. The pilot has to be commended for taking that boat across the North Sea from Lapland.
If the delivery boat is encountered on race days the usual rule of power giving way to sail does not apply. Sailors should endeavour to pass on the port side and avoid creating an excessive wake (RS200 please note).
Members are asked to be tolerant if they see reindeer grazing in the boatyard as this is only for a short duration and affairs will be back to normal in January. Please do not feed them any carrots. Dog owners are asked to keep their animals on a short lead so that they do not scare the visiting reindeer.
